What this covers
This policy explains what Archilect Studio collects when you use https://archilect.in or engage us for work, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It applies to this website and to our client engagements, not to the systems we build and hand over to clients — those are governed by the client's own policy.
What we collect
We keep this deliberately small. In practice that is:
- Anything you send us directly — your name, email, phone number and the contents of your brief when you email, message or use the form on this site.
- Project material you share with us during an engagement, including access credentials, documents and data needed to do the work.
- Basic technical information your browser sends when you load a page, such as IP address, user agent and referring page, retained in server logs.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your information to anyone. We do not run advertising or third-party tracking pixels on this site, and we do not build advertising profiles from what you send us.
Why we hold it
We use what you send us to:
- Reply to your enquiry and prepare a scope, an estimate or a proposal.
- Deliver, support and invoice for work you have engaged us to do.
- Meet our legal, tax and contractual obligations.
- Keep the site secure and diagnose faults.
Who else sees it
Only the people who need to. Within the studio that is the three of us. Outside it, we rely on service providers for hosting, email, source control and payments; they process data on our instructions and only as far as their service requires. We share your information with anyone else only where the law requires it, or where you have asked us to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within twelve months. Project material is held for the duration of the engagement and for as long afterwards as our contract and Indian tax and accounting law require, then deleted. Server logs roll off within 90 days. If you want your material removed sooner, ask and we will do it wherever we are not legally required to keep it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to studio@archilect.in and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you are entitled to raise the matter with the relevant data protection authority.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Any cookie we do set is strictly necessary for the site to function, and is removed when you close your browser.
Changes and contact
We will update this page if our practices change, and the date at the top will change with it. Questions about any of the above go to studio@archilect.in.
